TP on 25th August 2008

The Monday morning started with the bell rang at 7.10am and students started to gather for assembly. We sang National Anthem for the flag raising, said our prayers and next was school activities for students to step forward and recite their multiplication tables and so.

Today things were a little different.

Cikgu Reduan opted for Spelling Bee and asked for volunteers to come up and take the challenge.

Followed by lower primary students reading us stories.

For classes today, I had taught the primary 6 students on how to create a blog. I showed them steps by steps on the white board with the help of projector attached to my computer. In order to create a blog, students must have an email address to log in.

The students had fun and used their time for recess to continue creating their blogs. I had instructed them to create a post and write a little something about themselves but they put most of their attention in posting up photos and searching for blog templates.

Other than creating blogs, the exercise that I had given to primary 5 was to create a PowerPoint presentation (5 slides) with the topic "My Best Friend".


However, most of them didn't complete their work in the given 25 minutes (it was a 30 minutes class) because again like primary 6, they focused more on the slide design templates...

I guess the objective of today classes is somehow achieved because they do have slight idea on how to create blogs and powerpoint slides.
